Home to more than half a million inhabitants, Portland stands in the state of Oregon, on the western side of the United States. Portland is home to many places to visit, which include theaters, galleries, museums and a large number of restaurants. Portland Orientation: Layout and Directions

The inner southeast area of Portland features the fashionable Hawthorne district, where you will find numerous bookstores, antique shops, popular restaurants, artists and street entertainment. On the northern side of Portland, the Lloyd district is home to a range of civic amenities and the impressive Rose Garden Arena sports stadium.

Also often referred to as Nob Hill, Northwest Portland is a wealthy part of the city, full of residential streets, bars and brewpubs. On the southeastern side of Portland, Chinatown and the Old Town district contain many lively entertainment venues, while Portland's Pearl district has recently been transformed into a particularly stylish neighborhood.
